** Download the printable list of what we can take and what we cannot take. Read through it to understand how we have to sort plastics, metal and paper in order to process it and sell it.

This is important to not only fund the recycling center but to do the best job of getting the material to places which can then turn it into new, usable items ….. boxes, cans, car parts, coats, carpeting, plastic decking, newspaper, bottles (plastic and glass), fiberglass insulation and so on and on…

** For plastic, look at the recycling numbers in the triangles. We can take #1,#2 and #5 plus stretchable plastic (plastic bags or the covering around new mattresses, etc). #1 and #2 can only be bottles, jars or jugs. So, they pretty much have to be able to take a screw on cap! #5 is anything with a #5 on it, except for garden pots. Buyers do not want the pots.

** NO FOOD and NO DIRT!!! Paper must be clean and dry. Food cans must be clean. Pop cans must be drained. Plastic bottles must be drained and any food washed out. Plastic bags must be clean and dry.
